I cannot understand why everyone thinks that Dover is a 'special case'. EVERY council has to deal with commercially sensitive information and has to keep things "secret". Many towns suffered in the 1960s when bad decisions are made. Businesses invest where they want to and there is not a lot that can be done to change their minds.

I just think it is a bit late now moaning about things. It was in the 1950s when they allowed the car ferries to expand in the Eastern Docks. Why didn't people campaign to stop the A20 cutting through the town in the early 1990s? Why didn't people campaign to stop English Heritage taking over the Castle and keep it as part of the town?

Bad decisions were made in the past, why can't people look to the future rather than moan about things that cannot be changed ????
