Sadly died yesterday. Mentioned on another thread but deserves one on it's own. I saw him just a few weeks ago. A very considerate and compassionate man.
Heartfelt condolences to Lynda, James, Julie and Sarah.

Nice man.
An excellent family business pioneered by Derek's father Jack which Derek and his family carried on in a truly personal manner.
Condolences.
Deserves a special thread.

A true Gentleman, he will be greatly missed. James recently supported my family throu' a very difficult time and I could not have asked for a better outcome, he has inherited his Fathers diplomacy.
Sympathy to all the family.

RIP Derek Farrier. A lovely man and a real gentleman. He was great to us too in my family's hour of need when our dad Gerry died in 1989.
Thoughts and prayers with Derek's family.

We're really really sorry.
It's sad to hear that Derek is no longer with us. I can see him now, in my mind's eye, sitting in my brother's garden, talking, just after our mum had died. Derek had all the time in the world for us.
Derek - and all the family - have been wonderful always during all the sad times when we have needed care the most. My dear aunt was the last member of our family Derek cared for. Here is one of the little verses she had written in her diary.
"In a little chapel, not far away,
The Book of Remembrance is open today."
I'm sure there are many of us in and from Dover who will remember Derek with great affection, and mourn his passing. Deep sympathies to all the family.

One of his close friends came up to the football club when we had a meeting Thursday evening and we gave him a Newcastle United book and Dover Athletic badge that he wanted to give to the family to go with Derek today. RIP Derek.

James was restrained and dignified. Derek would have been proud.
