Blimey I remember Barnacles being built prior to that we used to go the Merry Dolphin for a quick pint whilst on duty. Then when that closed the freight diner opened up selling booze to 1am and re-opening at 4am.We had time for a quick breakfast and a pint before landing(stamping their passports) the passengers off the 4.15's.Those were the good old days. When Barnacles opened it initially sold the beer in plastic pint mugs..most distasteful. But beggars couldn't be chosers...
Another part of my misspent 20's gone forever............
