Howard - the Eurozone problems have of course impacted on growth which has put the deficit timetable back a year. I have said many times of the need for more public spending cuts (along with other measures) to help reduce the burden on business and help boost growth to counter the Eurozone impact. The need for more cuts is growing daily. I have also said that the Defence budget, being the only government budget not to benefit from Brown's largess during the so called 'boom', should be the only budget that is not cut.
