From Sky News:
Marta Andreasen referring to Nigel Farage:
"UKIP is his plaything to mould and shape in any way he sees fit, regardless of the views of others, myself included.
His actions, surrounding himself with an old boys club of like-minded sycophants, are dictatorial in sharp contrast to those of David Cameron, who has shown he can listen, adapt and do what is right for the country, not just for personal gain."
Well I remember in 2010 proposing to UKIP a policy on fast-food diets, which was supported by a well-written article of mine.
My proposal: that UKIP take this policy of mine on board and campaign for decent standards of fast-food meals, and for a regulated control of what these foods contain, with specific indications of the contents for customers to be able to see and understand.
The reply came, that the request was being forwarded to the UKIP policy team.
That was the end of it! UKIP fell asleep. Never heard from the Policy Team about my proposal.
Anno Domini 2013
The great EU meat scandal breaks out, horse meat disguised as beef from EU members Poland and Romania hits Ireland, Britain, France. and other EU member states, and the Irish Authorities release knowledge of the ingredients present in cheap filler meals offered to poor and (illiterate) Irish and British people, namely, leftovers and bits and pieces from Polish abattoirs sent all across Europe to the furthest shores of Britain and Ireland.
Even when this stuff is genuinely beef and pork, it is leftover rubbish from Polish (or any) abattoirs.
UKIP could have scored points, saying how they warned the people, the Government, and indeed many European countries too, and had campaigned for transparency in fast-food meals, and for decent food - and not hidden junk food - landing on people's plates.
But hey ho, Alexander would have scored a point, with a good policy, albeit shared with UKIP.
But instead UKIP SLEPT, as they always have done no mater WHICH policy I ever proposed, and I wonder why?
