    I think Deal will always look more atractive than Dover purely because of it's layout. The shopping area and sea front are a lot smaller and there is not the same volume of traffic passing through.

    Dover shopping area is from the Market Square right up to Cherry Tree, if it could be condensed to Charlton Centre area there might not be so many boarded up shops and the whole town would look better. It might also help if there was a concerted effort, by owners, to tidy up a lot of the old buildings with a coat of paint.
