What a difference a week makes. Plus some pressure from Dover Forumites, a couple of local councillors and, of course, DDC themselves.
As of today the two large bins and the shopping trolley at the front of the Cafe have been stored correctly leaving only the small bin out front but around the back on the seaward side the large bin remains.
I've got a letter in the East Kent Mercury this week, It got held over awaiting a reply from the Cafe proprietor, who suprise, suprise,
simply blamed DDC for not collecting the rubbish!! Nothing to do with him then!!
The pier attendants do a fine, courteous job. They are fantastic. Would it be possible for them to report back to DDC (as DDC employees) when the cafe gets out of line again.
Maybe we will see the other bins disappear shortly. Deal deserves better.
