I said at a public meeting both in Canterbury and Dover some years ago now ,when the N.H.S. was telling us all about closing the old Buckland Hospital and building a new one, that once they have put into Dover the set up they want, their eyes will turn to the Deal Hospital with a long turn view of closing it down.Again like most times when I got up to talk, some of the public and the members of the N.H.S. on the platform and the chairperson would try to shout me down and saying I was talking rubbish, but like always I would carry on,and as I said above the longterm view was to close Deal Hospital, and what we are seeing now is slowy what they done at Dover, close it down in small parts and saying,"We will repace it with a much better service in the longterm. My view now is the same as it was then, that they will close the Deal Hospital at some point, and the Dover MP will do the same he did at Dover, when the public of DEAL wake up and start trying to save it,by then it will be to late the MP will get up and join them ,geting the headlines"I am doing my best to save the Hospital, and coming in the doors of house,s will be leflets saying your MP is with you,and I will try my very best to save your Hospital". I say now this is based only in my way of thinking,I have not been told anything its just how I see it,could I be wrong? Yes I could but time will tell.if you think I could be right, then you must fight right now in trying to save it,if you think I am not then go ahead and it is all rubbish and Matcham does not know what he is talking about.Your choice.
