i never knew ferries ran from deal until i came across this.

Both the Queen of the Channel & the Royal Daffodil operated from Dea Pier. Not quite car ferry standard but trips across & coastal cruises.

i don't understand why they stopped it with so many deal citizens just a short walk from the short pier.
1966 it fnished, coincidentally the year that west ham won the world cup.
