We have had the usual array of guzzling summer imbibers frequenting the seafront shelter. After a while it is no longer a shelter, as ordinary seafront strollers are reluctant to sit there, what with the permeating and smouldering bodily stench and the smell of free flowing alcohol...after a while it just becomes an impenetrable bunker for the few.
Today we see the man from Connaught move in, he whips out his hose and gives the bunker some welly from his water spout. Whoosh and in a flick of the wrist normal cleanliness returns. Disinfectant pours forth with real power and no doubt once it all dries to a spic and span finish, you and me might happily linger there and enjoy the harbour views once again. Well...maybe
In Dover the Connaught team still seems to be in action following the recent gloomy stories of liquidation. Not sure of the full story there but some seem to have kept their jobs.
