Totally agree Brian they seem to forget Aycliffe nothing is ever invested in Aycliffe.
I first raisd the idea of extra parking at Aycliffe in April 2014 when Mr Hood was councillor. He did not even reply. or any other of my e-mails.
Then on 1Oth Oct 2017 DCC agreed to my petition to provide extra parking at a scrutiny meeting
Up until Mar 2020 this year before this pandemic they only contacted me for one walk around to see where they could provide extra parking. that was Nov 2019 That was in not really good enough.
On that rare occasion when DCC actually found Aycliffe I mentioned the following as well
We have no community centre.
Returning the play park at the Ropewalk end of Aycliffe.
Drop kerbs at junctions
Community garden
Moving TAP back,
Roads getting tired.
Grass cutting of banks
I was told they would get back to me soon..
Seems they can invest in Whitfield but not Aycliffe.
As you can see I have no faith in our DCC.
I have even written to our MP.
As usual I get the line "I will look into it and nothing ever happens."
