  Just to clear the air and I do like Daves Comments .I was not wearing a hat .There was no public row indeed I dont thinkl the children were aware of my presence I merely walked into the room saw the Mayor muttered about protocol and with drew .No slamming of doors or stamping of feet .At my age I find it best to withdraw from a situation .
  
  I did sit watching their firework dislay in the rain the previous evening having come straight from council meetings .
  
  Before you jump on the bandwagon ensure you have the facts .The Chairman of the Parish Council was unable to attend however the vicechairman was not asked to attend .I was not there as a District Councillor .Many years ago I was a brown owl.
