Yestereday my younger son surprised me by taking me back to my home town and village .I had a great time showing my daughter in law the places where I grew up .At the same time we were able to show little Verity off to my relatives .
We had a good time looking round Dunmow still many individual shops and many tea shops What was noticable .No tables and chairs, advert boards cluttering the pavements .People drinking outside of pubs No chewing gum .I remarked to my son "look no litter"
We parked for 3 hours for £1.It was thirty pence for thirty minutes and fifty pence for an hour.
They also had those electronic bus boarders .A quiet Market town with a lot of new housing and less than forty miles from London .We made our way home via High Easter where it seems time has stood still.
This is in Rural North Essex
Yes Im a councillor but surely Dover could be clean and tidy ,if the pavements had less clutter .No outside drinking .On the spot fnes for leaving litter .Encourage independant traders .
