    Just wanted to say what a great send off it was for dear Dave Bell yesterday at Barham, then Bluebirds in Snargate Street and afterwards Cullin's Yard.

    There was a lot of tears and laughter; a fitting tribute for a very popular and much-loved man. There must have been 400 or more people at the crematorium. A very moving service.

    We will all miss you so much, Dave: your fun, joi-de-vivre, kindness and decency, your surreal comic creations, flights of fancy and your madcap Geordie humour.

    Thoughts, love and prayers to all your lovely family at this very sad time.
