  Went past this morning and there was no sign to say it was closed and all the tables were laid ready for customers.
  
  I know they were having problems with neighbouring businesses/properties over a late licence but not the full story which will come out eventually I suppose.

  There's much more to this than meets the eye. Don't judge the council until you know the full story. There's far too much uninformed comment flying around facebook and twitter without adding to it.

  I think permission was refused for a much later licence - till 4am ?

  There's always two sides to a story; obviously the chap was disgruntled because his (extra) late licence wasn't granted, so blamed DDC.

  If he had to rely on staying open until 4.00am in order to stay open maybe he got his original business plan wrong.
