I find this event disgusting and the 5 should have made to clear it along with 60 hours commuaty work.

why would bart v need to give this advice to the cyclists?
The man in charge of organising the race Bart Vannieuwenhuyze is not pleased with the cyclists' action. "We briefed the team leaders clearly that urinating on the Menin Gate would not be tolerated", Mr Vannieuwenhuyze said in an interview with the daily 'Het Laatste Nieuws'.

I would never have thought to warn anyone not to urinate at any memorial. There should be no need to remind people about common decency.

there is clearly more to this than meets the eye, i wouldn't instruct my postman not to pass water through my letter box as i know he wouldn't dream of it - i think.
