Councillor Nicholas your posting sums you up completely. You begin with the word 'My' and then go on to say that the press although invited did not attend, thereby presumably denying you a photo opportunity, well done the press I say.

Howard it was the metaphorical Luddite Councillor Nicholas who said she had not seen the press there, I incorrectly assumed the reference to Phil was the taker of those wonderful nature photos enjoyed by many. I did think it strange that he should veer from taking pictures of things of beauty to photographing Councillor Nicholas.
So the press did attend then!!
why are you all so rude to Sue Nicholas i thought you lot were gentleman

Mr Taylor you must be that rarity, someone who has never had the misfortune to encounter the self inflated ego of Councillor Nicholas or someone like me, who I am told is the perfect gentleman but who is not afraid to say it as it is.

I attended the Civic Service at River Church, along with many others. There were many people there representing different communities and organisations.
The purpose of the service was about bringing communities together, not about inflating people's ego.
Also in attendance were many Labour and Conservative Councillors, who also serve their local community.
Ken, your unwarranted attack on Sue was not the act of a gentleman, it was rude, out of order and completely uncalled for.
If you were a gentleman, you would apologise to Sue on here for it.
We don't have to love everyone, but we can at least respect their position and the job they do; this service was organised by the Chairman of Dover District Council, who this year happens to be Sue Nicholas.
Sue works very hard as Chairman of DDC and represents the Council very well; she also works hard representing her community and the wider district.
This attack does you no credit at all and diminishes your standing as a man, let alone a gentleman.

Apologise for stating the truth, not a chance. Roger, your defence of that woman was to be expected but does not alter my opinion of her, which may I say is on a par with Arthur Scargill's opinion of Margaret Thatcher.

Oh dear! not very savoury comments there Ken, we dont really want 'truth' like that. Its only opinion at the end of the day not truth.
