Culture Minister Ed Vaizey launched the Dover out reach project of the Deal Festival this afternoon at Dover Town Hall.

A brilliant performance of a Pirate musical was performed with confidence by pupils of Harbour School.

Accompanied by MP Charlie Elphicke, the Deal Mayor with forum member JHG in his Dover civic guise. Also present were Labour candidate Clair Hawkins, DHB Chief Exec Tim Waggott and many Arts Council big wigs .

Festival Chairman Tim Jackaman, Rosemary Dunn & other local volunteers were there in force.

Many proud parents added to a lively and appreciative audience.

The Minister also visited Dover Museum, Drop Redoubt with WHPS & St Clements Art Centre in Sandwich.
