I was down at the Docks today to welcome the Opera,coach loads of passengers,going to Canterbury, Leeds Castle,Walmer Castle and Sandwich as well as Dover Castle,and the tour busses to the Town Centre £3 or 5 euros or$6.
Many of the crew got off and did thier shopping,but plenty of passengers going into the town,the Kent Tourist lady was swamped,but little time to do anything as only in port until2pm.
One funny thing a lady with 30 bags cases and picture frames called me to help her get a taxi,the Taxi driver shook his head and said you will need 2 taxis,after 30 mins of loading unloading pushing and shoving eventually we got them all in,she did say thank you,which acording to the security and baggage staff was good because most of the passengers didn't even acknowledge the help they were given.
