A message from Bryonis mum. Please come along and enjoy a lovely relaxing afternoon while helping this lovely young lady.
On Sunday the 3rd August we will be holding a benefit musical afternoon at the Cricketers, crabble avenue Dover. The event is to raise funds to support a young local girl Bryoni Millar who was rushed to hospital while on holiday at her grans in Ireland last august only to spend the the next three months undergoing multiple operations to remove extensive bone cancer from the back of her skull and remove a large tumour which surrounded her brain stem. It has taken Bryoni 17 a lot of work to recover from the partial facial paralysis she sustained from the removal of the tumour even learning to eat solid foods again and loosing the hearing in her left ear. The tumour had been growing for 5-6 years unaware to the lively outgoing schoolgirl. We are now a year on from one of the most frightening things that has happened to our family and she has now been scheduled for porton therapy in the USA. The aim of the proton therapy is to disperse the last piece of the tumour as it is too close to the spinal column for further surgery. Although luckily the NHS has agreed to fund the cost of the treatment the family still need to raise funds to help towards the cost of the 6-9 week trip for bryoni and her gran who will accompanying her as her mother is unable to leave her young family. In order to help support this the family are holding a benefit acoustic musical concert in the Cricketers Beer Garden on the afternoon of Sunday 3rd August from 2pm. Entrance is £2 per adult, 50p for Children. There will also be a raffle and with all proceeds going to support Bryoni. For further information please contact Tara Miller 07592 592379

There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".
