  Fascinating Ian. The mild weather continues to astonish. Hadnt figured on this early a spring. But will they die back when the inevitable frost comes?
  
  They might need covering then. I hasten to add Im not a gardener so not well versed in horticultural matters...but it looks like you might have too much nitrogen in the soil there.

  i was told that later frosts should not cause a problem

  We have the daffs bursting out as well. I remember the snowdrops last year coming sooooooooo early.

  I still have our summer flowers blooming, daffs coming through quite tall and roses flowering and new buds coming out. Hanging baskets still doing quite well too.
