Sue
I do find its much easier for people to find out information if you would be willing to share it...
Details such as START time? And maybe.. a little bit more than a few hours notice?
Thanks in advance
Jenni

Tis a pity that the homepage link to the 'Shop Grand Opening', yields this...
"The grand opening of the new arts, crafts and produce shop.
Further details will be published when finalised."
And this was only moments ago.

The opening went well ,a good turn out .I bought a lovely loaf of brown bread and some delicious hot cross buns .I went into the Mill for coffee .Im hoping this venture will bring some trade to the Mill.
The shop is open at weekends .
Just to support Jenni and her plea: it is fab to hear about things on here, thank you. Not all of us read the local papers etc so it is a great opportunity to share information and drum up custom. But more than a few hours notice, and some proper details would be more useful and would probably help to drum up more customers!

I'm ashamed to say that the lack of timely information about The Shop at The Mill on the mill website is, in part, down to me as I administer it.
The information in the calendar entry should have been updated to reflect the "further information" and I didn't spot the anomaly. However, the shop does have its own page at
http://www.ccmt.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=46&Itemid=29 and the calendar entry should linked to that.
My apologies.

If at first you don't succeed, use a BIGGER hammer!!
But not all of us look at all the local websites, so this forum is a good way to advertise. I think my own frustration is when we get the info late and patchy, on this forum. It isn't just the Mill.
Sue - it isn't about gawping at you et al in chains, it is about the drip feed of info you often post.

There has been quite a bit of information posted into FaceBook over the past few weeks by Pandora and friends who are running the new shop.

much better if anyone hears of a forthcoming event and they are a member here to post full details as far in advance as possible.
thought harry would have tipped us off on this one.

Yes down to me, sorry I have to hold my hands up there. I left everything to the ladies who are running the shop for us and they did do a lot of advertising but I clean forgot I could and should have mentioned it on here.
The shop looks great, it is selling lots of home made goods it will be open again tomorrow from 10am it is well worth calling in.
We also have an Easter Egg hunt for the children at the mill tomorrow from 11am, the hunt is all over the Mill and every child ends up with an Easter egg.
So why not call in the shop and then let the children have some fun.

Isa-nop-roblem guys, but with over six million visits and only a few members...do the maths, there must be many locals and potential visitors to Dover & district looking in to make timely mentions of each and every up-coming event work in favour of any and all local organisations.
I am glad that the shop is on the map and doing well, long may it be so.
A Gazette page PaulB?

thanks harry keep us updated on anything going on up there, much better that money goes into the coffers of a local volunteer run place than being spent elsewhere.

Hey Harry et all
I was just fustrated, because I like many others know some of the fab teams who are in the shop. Its not about gawping at the chain gang, its more about proving to the Corn Mill and people in there that people care and will turn up to a grand opening!!
