Fairly softly thread, but here is the question? I found it hard to believe that anyone actually made and produced what was on offer. I have not problem with this, but when hand made and hand crafted is signed above the stalls. I think the people there have made what is on offer.

My Grand-daughter and I, love to visit Covent Garden in London, I worked and had a business in London, so we love the buzz. There is a shop called Lush, which promotes hand made soaps and bath bombs etc. All to make you smell and feel good.

I am getting to the point. As I entered the small, dining hall of the Town Hall, the one with all the flags and banners...in the middle was a Hand Made Soap display, they said it was Hand Made Soaps etc..the prices were more expensive than the ones we buy in Covent Garden London. Fair enough, these are hand made and crafted.

However, then when I went into the larger hall, where the Organ is etc. There was another stall, with "Hand Made Soaps"..but they were completely the same as the other "Hand Made Soaps". They were more expensive, but exactly the same designs etc. Are these hand made I enquired, because there are exactly the same soaps on another stall. Well, no, was the reply, you cannot make Hand Made Soaps in this day and age. We buy them in etc.

I then looked more critically at the stalls, and really felt, looking at the machine made cushion covers etc.that very little was craft wear.

This is no criticism, far from it, I like to give, see the unusual and enjoy talent. But I do not like being taken for a fool..
