16:3727771Pleased that Dover are doing well ,but with it comes traffic chaos .Motorists seem to be a law unto themselves ,parked on corners across driveways and of cause bus stops .If a Fire appliance was needed today they would be hard pushed to access the Ridgeway .Its time the area was policed ansd people encouraged to use the buses .

Firstly I should say to get home I use the bus !!! to get there I walk.
With such large crowds 1,100 today comes traffic, not all supporters will live very local.
On top of that the Rugby club were at home to so more traffic.
THERE are stewards who control the traffic once inside the ath ground, like everything whats the tiop priority if we put police there and not go to a murder?
Fire chiefs have always said if they need to get to a place they will(igf you know wot i mean)
Maybe the club can try to ediucate some of the drivers, and yep traffic is heavy when Dover is at home, but to my mind its a small price to pay to see the club on the up and up, maybe im a bit biased as i do attend when i can,
On the game itself what a game!!
Dover went 1-0 down and Western Super Mare looked a fairly strong side, -they kept coming forward as well.
Dover equalised and then went 2-1 up Waesterns heads dropped and Dover added to more to go in 4-1 up at half time.
Western came out all guns blazin and scored nearly from the kick off making it 4-2 then got another making it 4-3!!!
They pushed for an equaliser but it was Dover that scored next to make it 5-3 !!
Dover had a few more chances to add to the score but 5-3 was the final score
quite a game!!!
Hopefully Dover will tighten up in time the keeper did look shaky today didnt look confident at all.
Im sure HESSY will sort it all out,
another 3 points
COME ON YOU WHITES !!!!

19:3227782supporters getting there by bus would find it impossible.
a small bus runs 3 times per hour to crabble last time i looked.
on a saturday they would be full of shoppers anyway.

08:2227826Buses are two an hour Howard and once an hour after 6.00pm I was thinking of Park and ride facility .DDC office is closed at the weekend .Near to the motorway for parking and Stagecoach bus depot just around the corner .
Doesnt taske much to sort that one out .
Funny you can get a screen in less than three months but this Foot ball parking has gone on for years
The football season starts before Summer is over plus we have the rugby supporters as well .Midweek games as well ..

11:4427839Its maybe only two to three hours but all im asking for is the police to fine those who obstruct driveways ,bus stops and park on corners .A little consideration is needed. Not everyone is a football fan.Vic you donot live in the Ridgeway area so donot experience the prioblems .You were not on the bus yesterday where we had to shunt back and forth at the end of Crabble Lane .Cars all along Lewisham road .
Its not just Saturdays its in the week also .
A little more effort and a will to solve the problem that is what we need .
Keith I know what the Fire Service say but yesterday they would have needed to lift at least three cars out of the way plus the gas work fencing .How long would that delay have been ??
As the local councillor I have a duty to all the residents not justy the football club .

14:0127841It's good to see that the people of Dover are getting behind the football club and enjoying the rise of the club. Its great to see something successfull in Dover that brings the community together.

Yep;
SUE
Iunderstsand where your coming from but its not every midweek just one day maybe a fortnight and not every sat either
Sad realy heres a club on the up, something good for Dover, Sue talk to the traffic wardens parish council see if its an area they (traffic wardens) control.
as I have said, if the police were to be there and not at a murder/rape etc then they would again be slagged off.
Anyway enough on that
maybe talks between the club/DDC/cllrs/ police could resolve the problem has that been tried? im sure the club would be happy to help as far as they could

22:3327875I have tried Keith many moons again a senior officer walked with me from the old coke store Bunkers Hill ,now housing .He said it was too far for supporters to walk .
last year and the year before had other senior officers who go to the matches saw the problem and have done nothing
It just begarrs belief that you tell them the problems but nothing is done .When it is carnival we have cones put out .
I like football and dont forget I lived next to the ground for twelve years .
Still we have a screen and a cable car coming so things like trhis are put on a back burner .

As i say you should keep at it, gret the club involved, and police if required
only way is to keep at it.
