This is a photo I took of the orginal stained glass windows from Coventry Cathedral, and no comments about not realising I was THAT old please
They were removed for safe keeping before the war (did someone know something), and the story goes they were found by an Icelander after the war in a scrap yard in London, who bought them for installing in the church in Akureyri in the north of Iceland. They are now one of the biggest tourist attractions in the area in spite of needing to climb a massive set of steps to get to the church. As far as I know there's no campaign to get them back along with our money.
