DOVER TOWN CARNIVAL LTD COURT OF 2011 MEET THE TOWN MAYOR OF DOVER
On Thursday, 15th March 2012, and as their current reign comes to an end The Court of 2011 attended the Town Council Offices for tea with The Right Worshipful Town Mayor of Dover Councillor Veronica Philpott.
The Mayor had invited the girls to attend and bring along the many trophies they had won throughout the year. It was a very poignant goodbye for the girls as they performed their penultimate curtsey for The Mayor.
Throughout 2011/12 the Court have supported the Mayor at various events just as the Town Council supported them, the Court of 2011 were proud to wear Dover Town Crest on their sashes and their award winning float, paid for by The Town Council also sported the Crest.
On Saturday, 24th March 2012 we will be selecting the Court of 2012 at The Qube on St Radigunds Road. All our current court members are now too old to re-enter the Junior Competition and we are very much looking forward to meeting some new girls on Saturday.
The Categories are:
Rosebud Queen - Age 5 - 7, registration is at 12 noon.
Junior Court - Age 8 - 12, One Queen and 2 Princesses, registration also at 12 noon.
Senior Court - age 13 - 21, The Court of Dover Queen and 2 princesses, registration starts at 6.30pm.
Entry forms are available at the door, all entrants must reside in the postcode areas of CT16/17/18 and if under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Town Mayor will be crowning the Junior Court at approximately 4pm and the Deputy Town Mayor will be crowning the Senior Court at approximately 9.30pm.
