yes that time is upon us again most supermarkets are getting stocked up, people are talikng about it, the card shops are fully loaded and mel is turning into a christmas fairy making lists seems to be getting earlier , anyone else planning ahead and does anyone know of the christmas light switch on yet? may have to play that event by ear tho this year ......

i think the switch on is normally the last saturday in november.

halloween stuff.
and i thought the usa was bad enough.
it seems to get earlyer every year,doh.

There have been TV ads lately from the Sun. Christmas club or similar. Many folk begin their Christmas shopping at the January Sales. There's nowt as queer as folk.

I don't plan ahead far, but if I see something I know someone would like I buy it and put it away, it makes things a lot easier when December comes.
And if I get ideas for gifts I write them down before I forget !
I often find that people like home-cooked things like mince-pies, seasonal biscuits and cookies and small Christmas cakes as much as anything !

Christmas should not reach the shops until November, now is much too early.
