I do not accept that the County Council making cut backs is the reason for weeds etc around the towns and villages not being cleared.. What is wrong with getting Community Pay Back to do that sort of cleaning up, When we had them at the Mill we would often take them out to clean areas around the village, since that connection has finished they have not be used..
It is not rocket science all the County Council, District Council or Parish Councils have to do is contact the Probation Service and asked for the areas that need sorted to be worked on., Cost to the Councils is but a phone call.
As for the start of this Topic and the Council Chairman standing down. Sue may on some occasions say and do things people do not like or agree with, but she has given years of loyal service to River and Dover District Council and she should be thanked and congratulated for that service. Politics aside she had worked hard for our District and while I am not of her political party I wish her a very happy retirement.
