At a time when we are about to move over to plastic notes is it not also the time to get rid of copper coins? in our pockets and make the five pence coin bigger and the same to the 20p coin.
We do not use the 1p or the 2p much now and my point of view is lets get rid of them they are only taking room up in the pocket or the money box .
I think the banks would go along with that and also make more room in my money box for a better coin/

You are right Vic. In the old days we had the farthing, there were 960 of them to the £. Now the 10p buys about the same.

That's right Mr Garstin I was thinking along the same lines so why keep the coppers?
