"Temporary Sunday Closures - Coombe Valley Road, Dover - 28 October & 4 November 2012
Closures of Coombe Valley Road, Dover are planned for Sunday 28th October and Sunday 4th November 2012, between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm each day.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, as well as at the junction with Magdala Road.
The alternative route is via London Road, Crabble Hill, Crabble Road, Crabble Avenue, Hillside Road, Bunkers Hill Road, St Radigund's Road, Barwick Road and Coombe Valley Road (plus additionally eastbound, via Buckland Avenue, Cherry Tree Avenue and London Road, due to the one-way system).
The closures are to allow works to be carried out to modify the crash protection beams on the approaches to the railway bridge, plus phone cabling works underneath the bridge.
There is the possibility of a further closure the following Sunday, 11th November, to be notified if required".

thanks for keeping us informed roger, i assume it must be the bridge that some truckers use for target practice.
