Connaught Barracks - one for the oldies...

  Just browsing through my old picture and looked at an aerial one from the 1950s of the Castle - then this jumped out at me, substantial buildings where the entrance now is to Connaught Barracks. Does anyone know any more about them? I beleive that there was a major rebuild in the 1960s

  I think one of the buildings is the old officers mess again I did do a paper round up there at the same time I done the castle that was in the 1950s when still at school,I could be wrong.

  paul, juding by the size (yes I know i am not old but i have been on enough estates to know) that does look officers mess, and boarding rooms..
  
  very similar in style to Dads building over in Folkestone..
