Gawd yes I remember conkers very well. It was the height of passion for us kids one time, long before all this life of hi-tech gadgetry took over. I had a champion conker that beat all comers, a veteran of many battles it was, then one day under a noon day sun, its gladitorial career came to a devastating halt when it split in two after a knockout blow from a rival. I was crushed. My career in conkers faltered after that as I never again got hold of such a weapon. It was clearly a Viking conker...all pillage and plunder.
Kids would enjoy it nowadays too if they were allowed to..so well done DT.
