Confusing signs

  Can anyone explain this one? It's the footpath by the car park by Morrisons running parallel to Maison Dieu Road. We have a sign indicating we can 'Walk the River Dour' along the same footpath as a new (unofficial?) sign stating it is not a Public Right of Way.

  I should think the sign has been there a week or even more, I kept forgetting to mention it. Howard the post is definitely cemented in I checked on the way back from work.

  So someone paid a lot of money to put those signs up - only to have them totally ignored! I walk through there fairly regularly and nobody, myself included, takes a blind bit of notice of them.
