I received notification that the Harbour Revision Order has been approved by MMO.
This means that the proposal for the two Community Director appointments can be enacted coming into force 25th March 2016. I won't go into the comments & detail included in the letter but it is worth reading when published more widely.

I believe the HRO says it is a requirement not an option.

Then if that is the case they need to have a rethink on who they pick.

Well a parish council having powers over both the D.H.B. and the D.D,C, now that is a new one.

Sorry about that I got the wrong meaning of the word superfluous it means not necessary and there was me thinking the meaning was necessary not a word I use.So the meeting is a wast of time anyway.

#6 It's true, Local Councils have the power to do anything a competent person would do, and a competent person would object to the way DHB have gone about this development.

Ray, I'd be would be interested to see your analysis of DHB's failings in approaching this matter.

The fact that the leader of DDC feels its appropriate to post this decision on an online forum and ridicule the AGM of Dover Town Council just shows how far entrenched DDC and DHB are into lining their own pockets with sheer contempt for the people of Dover.

Not so Mr Heart the D.T.C put it on their own agenda knowing that they cannot do anything about it so why hold a meeting ? about it.

Howard, go around town and talk to the youth, people in their 20's / 30's and families. The people who will be living in Dover for the next 30+ years. They will give you a much stronger view. Mr Watkins and DHB aren't listening to the people of Dover.

I don't think many would disagree that the links between DHB and DDC are too close even though they have to work together on a lot of issues but suggestions of impropriety are a bit over the top Jack.

I'd be interested in what wrong with the leader of council informing his constituents of a decision that we've been waiting to hear. DTC ridicule themselves on a regular basis I don't believe anything Paul posted could feasibly construed as inappropriate. As too "lining their own pockets" incredibly inappropriate and libellous!

Well said Reginald.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.
