At first when I read the following I thought what a good idea, someone who can report local problems to DDC or even DTC. Having read on it seems this is simply a way to get volunteers to do the jobs that we expect our council tax to cover.
Community spirit is a good thing but I think this is going a bit far, especially when you read what they expect these volunteers to do. Litter picking, painting, planting, sweeping, repairs, clearing snow. Who will be responsible if anything goes wrong with a repair for example.
