21:4374583... about education.
This is the speech made by that teacher who was suspended by her school.
http://conservativehome.blogs.com/localgovernment/2010/10/katherine-birbalsinghs-conference-speech.html
Bear in mind she had permission from the school (and from the children's parents about whom she spoke and showed pictures) to do so.
So touchy is that nasty and destructive pernicious left wing influence in schools she was still suspended by her Blair fan Head.
Back in school now, I have to say and a real credit to her profession.

21:5474589But was the video shown?
I did have a look back and could not find the other thread. Anyway this is worth raising again, and important subject. If Gove can wrest the education system away from the dead hand of left wing ideology he will have achieved something that escaped even Mrs T to which we can all be grateful.

22:2974596To replace it with the equally ineffective and stultifying hand of the libertine right?

07:4674613No, not really Ross - a more balanced and non-political approach that is not a slave to left wing theories as is the case now.
Personally, in respect of schools, I would approve more of an authoratarian rather than libertine approach.

17:0974670Ah. The winter of discontent. A three day week and the bin men refusing to empty the dustbins.
1. Already on three day week (by choice).
2. My ex-Ghurka bin-men are made of hardier stuff and I suspect will be waving a metaphorical 'kukri' at any superannuated lefty loony from the TUC who suggests they down tools.
Sorted at Frost Villas!
