To the best of my knowledge, there have been so-called no go areas in the UK since the early seventies, one which I experienced first hand was in Leicester.
The spitting video bears out what Laura told me about in Cologne (see my post somewhere else !)
I drove into Malmo a couple of years ago, because an internet 'friend' of mind was telling me how unpleasant it had become where she lived, mainly due to gang fights (presumably) with the new immigrants trying to take over the local biker gang's business interests. That part of Malmo is not at all pleasant to drive through, we were stared at by nearly every pedestrian, and even cut up (car, not knife) in traffic a couple of times. Thought it was probably best to turn around and head out, which I duly did. I have no wish to return.
