Since when, Howard, does teaching the Christian Faith at school imply that no subject may be taught?
Every school I went to taught Christianity, they all taught subjects too, including maths, English and history, Brian.
Further to Keith's post, ripping down churches in England in the 20th century and still now had and has nothing to do with not enough funds to maintain them, but simply with the decision to sell the land off to developers to build houses and make money, or to convert churches into apartments and make money.
The State seems to have £100 billion pounds to make four more nuclear submarines and arm them with nuclear missiles and service them. But then the "leaders" turn round and say "we haven't got the funds to maintain a church".
The State can afford to have extra bank holidays dedicated to the house of Windsor costing each 0.5% of GDP, but then claims: "we must rip down churches for lack of funds" (and sell the land to developers for a profit).
The Devil is in the detail.
The more you look into the detail, the more evident it becomes!
The State has been selling the Church for money and spending it on nuclear weapons and on all sorts of war machinery.
Perhaps Kate and Wills will be honoured with another bank holiday costing the State another 0.5% of GDP, and Kate and Wills will not ask that the bank holiday be scrapped and the proceeds dedicated to maintaining English and British churches.
But Kate and Wills will claim to be the future heads of the Church of England.
And I doubt Kate and Wills, who consider themselves the future heads of the Armed Forces, would travel about to other countries if a nuclear missile was ever fired from a nuclear submarine.
Anyway they are not my head and never will be!
One must stand up and speak back! I will be defiant and challenge back!
The Christian Faith shall prevail, not atheism.
There is nothing anyone can do to change it!
