  Remember if You know of any elderly relatives or neighbours during this cold spell, pop in and check that they are OK. While You're there it might be an idea to get them to turn down their thermostat one or two degrees. There's a planet to save and the more People that cut back on their heating the less carbon dioxide they release.
  Actually this is exactly what the government is doing. They are responsible for causing the demise, not only of our industrial base or what is left of it, but on those who cannot afford to heat their homes. That is the point of the article which I think is rather tame and beats around the bush somewhat.
  I'd go much further than Mr. Nelson and describe what is happening as an absolute scandal where social historians will, in the future, put this carbon religion at the forefront of the steep decline of the United Kingdom in terms of its economy and therefore its whole future.
  Bad days ahead for us all.
