  I take your point Howard, but we are already seeing a rise in the number of malnourished children, suicide is on the rise and many people who visit their GP cannot afford perscription charges.
  I have, in the last few days spoken to a young Mum ( married, husband on min wage) whose son has just been in hospital with a chest infection attributed to the damp spores in her home. Even tho' she keeps it well ventilated she can only afford to use her heating for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening when she bathes her son. She warms the beds with hot water bottles.
