  Some of the winners and runner-ups from the the poultry club's 2011 national show which took place on 19 and 20 November. Birds are entered into several different categories based on breed and the competition culminated in the crowning of the gold cup supreme champion. The poultry club was founded 1877, being established to safeguard the interests of all pure and traditional breeds of poultry including chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys..."

  Humphy and Brian: There is more to hens and cockerels than food .....
  
  They are such sociable creatures, I love the silkies and the game bantams, and I do miss mine.
