    UKIP's strategy has backfired. They took enough Tory votes to let enough Lab or Lib Dem candidates get elected via the back door in so many constituencies that instead of a Con majority we have a coalition which is far more pro-Europe than a Tory Government would have been. Vic has admitted on another thread that he effectively got Gordon Cowan elected to County through the back door and has promised not to let it happen again.

    I look forward to the time when Nigel Farage takes this on board and agrees not to put candidates up against Tory eurosceptic candidates in future.
