    It could be that the u-turns in decisions are proof that the Government rather thinks and thinks again before implementing a decision.

    Something Labour-under-Blair didn't do.

    The benefits-cuts theme is complicated, there is only so much the Government can do short of depriving people of essential benefits.
    But by bringing the topic up in the first place, they demonstrate that there is a need to solve the issue of high unemployment, to which housing-benefits are connected.
