Bern it was actually taken last year outside the Town Council offices, its obviously as you can see had a bit of manipulation, but I think it does the job and I like it myself too.

Yes indeed Howard I was over there with BrionyB at the big event ,as ever conducted beautifully by the Rev Ridley and all was carried out in very good order. Very well organised. And Yes ... we got a right good soaking but that good man and top councillor Mick Smith held his brolly over Briony for most of the event so saved the day.

The councillors and mayor lined up in front of house, as did Charlie Elphicke, and all sang the hymns in fine style and also of course all got a right good soaking. Brollies not an option for them. And Charlie didnt even have a coat, they clearly dont pay them enough up there at the big House!

Afterward to get in out of the deluge BB and myself dropped in to the revamped Prince Albert. Tony Jayms said they do good lunches. We basically went in to get out of the rain but stayed for a good warming lunch.

But of course a pub is a pub and they let anyone in..particularly those mad forumites who are fond of a pint. Yes they all washed in. I couldnt eat me cumberland sausage in peace....and here's the thing, I never seen a better looking collection of fine gentleman even though they'd been out in the rain all morning. All looking as if they had stepped out of Burtons front windown. I couldnt beleive it!

    We had ..
Tom Guzzler Mitchell very sprightly and tall complete with blazer and medals.
Nigel Collor looking dapper and asking for five or six pints all at the same time.
Roger Walkden immaculate in frisky style and with a twinkle in his eye.
Jean Walkden with her ready smile even though she had to sit with all dem Tories.
Phil Eyden also looking dapper and clearly enjoying his pint(s)!
Stewart Dimmock also looked very highly suited and booted...I think they all go to the same tailor. I felt dowdy in comparison
but all were having a good time.
I once had a pint in there with Keith 'Keefy' Sansum but there was no sign of him today.

But back to the serious business for a moment. I managed to get a few shots of the ceremeny in progress and will sort them out in the next few hours and get them on the frontpage.
