I have'nt got a clue Peter! But the point I will make again is this, the great old pubs of our past are where they belong, in the past! Tonight I was in a Weatherspoons in Canterbury, a sirloin steak meal, with a glass of wine, plus a second sirlion steak with scampy and a pint, plus a bottle of red was just under £25.00 total! They had 12 hand pump beers at under £2.50 a pint, plus ciders and lagers etc, on getting back to Dover the Eight Bells was even cheaper!
I am sorry if the C + S has closed, but why pay Sheps prices in a Sheps house when it can be a £1 + cheaper else where?
The 16 old malt is now kicking in and I am going to sleep in the shed!
