These guys were climbing the dizzy heights above the Leisure Centre carpark yesterday...and in abysmal conditions. Not showing in the pictures, but at the time I took them the rain was driving down, driving rain blowing from left of shot to right. This is a tough job but in the conditions it looked very tough indeed as one slip and..... They appeared to be trying to secure new netting in place on the cliff face. Perhaps a boulder had hurtled down previously into the carpark below.
The guys have departed the scene for the moment, no doubt much soggier than when they arrived, having secured the netting in place. Well done them. I have a feeling they may re-appear further along the cliffs. Will watch out for the further adventures of the dangling men.
Round the back of the former army recuitment building a huge lump of chalk the size of a washing machine has previously come down and gone right through the corner of the building, so is definately needed !!
Is that right Paul..well I never.... Just goes to show you cant have chunks the size of washing machines hurtling down onto the Vista Leisure car park. It is to one side of the car park but the place gets a lot of kids and they ramble over under the cliffs. The guys pictured are in a dangerous pursuit but it keeps others safe.
