Ahh dear Alexander. Still getting your news from Sky and the BBC eh? Ah well not to worry. Some time over the next ten years or so they may catch up and carry out some proper journalism such as can be found here:

But let's not let an inconvenient lie get in the way of cold, hard facts shall We?

Much like the RSPCA and the RSPB and other "animal rights" (do animals really deserve rights?) organisations the Met office is merely a quango and in hoc to the government for their funding. To go against the grain in these matters is to commit professional suicide so no truth there then.
But, but, but they seem such nice people I hear you say. You know that bloke who does the weather, that woman who is eternally pregnant who tells us that a cold front is heading our way - they seem such nice, truthful people.
    Hmmmn.
Look, if your career depended on keeping quiet and propping up the status quo wouldn't you do the same?

Anyway as it happens old Rupert himself was tweeting madly the other day having a pop at "alternative" energy and the non warming of the planet. With any luck he's still got some influence on the Sky broadcasting organisation who adopted a warmist approach to things when it suited. I suspect the penny will drop when they all get to the truth that We are set for a few decades pf extreme cooling.
Incidentally to those who think wind farms are the answer check out how much wind is being produced here and now:
