Big news locally as an episode shot at Lydden won't now be shown. I don't watch "Top Gear" but have smiled at some of his comments and grimaced at others. If the allegation of him hitting a producer are true then he has to go but a lot of people are siding with him because of his lack of political correctness.

Probably the same people signing the petition who thought Jonathan Ross was funny, the BBC survived without him and they will if Jeremy Clarkson gets the push.

Howard, it's obvious you don't watch Top Gear or you would have seen the item shot at Lydden racetrack in the episode broadcast last Sunday!

Next Sunday too was my understanding Ray, I may be wrong though.
I liked Ross when he first burst on to the scene but turned later into thinking his personality made him teflon coated, the trick that him and Brand played on Andrew Sachs was unforgivable. Clarkson is similar and to add to that he can lie through his teeth. Prime examples are using the "N" word in a nursery rhyme, pretending not to know what "Slope" meant and denying that the number plate of the car he used in Argentina was pure coincidence.

Exactly Martin but people on social media are up in arms claiming that the BBC are just being politically correct even though they have given him free rein up until now.

Striking a manager or anyone else in the workplace would mean instant dismissal in most cases.

now is this really the case? I dont like the character he puts on show, but I think he is very intelligent and what he produce on documentaries. He makes it very exciting and interesting .. Not many cannot combine this. Its either overinformative or too boring with little info.
TopGear is loved by all generations and Everyone loves watching the BOYS :) deffo better than football lol

Whether Top Gear is loved by views, his actions were despicable and he deserves taking off the programme.

Yet another speculation, I never watch the programme but from what I have seen of Clarkson I doubt I have missed anything.
As an aside 30 seconds of assault is quite a long time with plenty of time for someone else in the room to intercede.

From the Dover Express, do any of their reporters ever proof read before they punch enter.......................
"TOP Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has been sacked by the BBC.
The controversial star was suspended two weeks ago for allegedly punching a produced.
He wast told his fate at a meeting with Beeb bosses this morning
The last show he featured in that was aired included Lydden Race Course in Dover."
