on another thread i mentioned the planned council tax refusal to pay by some residents of clarendon plce.
yesterday when coming off the heights i used the path into said road and this is what i saw.
please bear in mind this is a tiny section of the road itself with no more than 20 houses.
thankfully the chest freezer had gone.

One front garden looks as if it needs weeding. And several garden walls need painting too.

As it's collection day today, it'll be interesting to see what it's like later on or tomorrow

recycling only today roger, just been through there and surprisingly it is no worse than yesterday despite all the gulls around.
mind you they seem happy with the running buffet at the dover hotel site, like gourmets the way they select from each bin.

I've just got back from taking Jean to Buckland and looked at the bins there Howard - all the lids were flat closed and no food on the floor - but I'm sure it won't last long.

not a grumble roger, lots of public asking around the area,
vale view road resident stopped me recently saying the same.
his view is the council changed its procedures thus eaves road and outside town dont get a road sweeper.
its all concentrated on areas such as the town.
the only time we would get a road sweper is if we complain?
surely everyone pays this high amount of council tax and deserves to see a road sweeper dont they?

I expect you get the same mechanised road sweeper that we get Keith. A complete waste of time because of all the parked cars he just drives down the middle of the road with the occasional swerve into the gutter.

maybe the road sweepers if theres not enough of them should be moved around so everyone gets a road sweep every 8 weeks or more
