  I wish success to any initiative to reduce the numbers of people that smoke. As far as the resulting reduction in tax is concerned we should tax running-shoes instead. These joggers, these sweaty, smelly, ear-phone wearing, bosom bouncing blights on so many aspects of daily life. They domineer foot traffic, interfere with road traffic, cut a rut around each and every public open space and their 'fitness gurus', with their straps attached to young trees, their lines of little plastic cones, their mats and other apparatus lying about willy-nilly...
